A lot of us struggle from acne. Try anything and everything to get clear skin. But we don't understand that something in our diet might be triggering it. Here are foods that cause acne.

1. Cheese: As much as I love it, cheese us on top in the list of foods that can make us break out.

2. Caffeine: Caffeine drinks cause acne to spread quickly across your skin, we must avoid them.

3. Canned Food: Canned and processed food have a lot if unhealthy chemicals which cause acne.

4. Chocolate: Eating too much chocolate can increase sebum production and thus break us out.

5. Popcorn: Transfat in popcorn can aggravate acne.

6. Potato Fries- They are full of oil and starch and can lead to acne breakout.

7. Sweets: Anything with high level of sugar can cause crazy breakout.

8. Fried Food: Its rich in fat which can irritate skin and cause acne.

9. Spicy Food: Spices are skin's enemy, they cause major acne breakout.

10. Peanuts: Consumption of too much peanuts can cause acne.


These 10 foods cause major acne breakout. If you have acne or sensitive skin, try to avoid these goods that cause acne.

  1. Yes! You are so right about cheese. All of the hormones in milk make you break out. And potato fries do as well...but not because of the starch. They make you break out because of the yucky oil they're deep fried in. Starches can actually help clear out your skin if you don't cover them with oil or unhealthy, super fatty toppings.
